Agnes Nkata | Duchess & Duchess 2017
Agnes Nkhata, also known as “Queen Agnes,” is the CEO of The Timalechi Nursery School of Malawi, Chairwoman of Malawians in Texas Organization and an International DJ/EMCEE. She was born in Malawi, Africa. In 2014, she introduced the first African-Caribbean news section to the longest running-African-American owned newspaper in North Texas, The Dallas Weekly News. Queen Agnes has also organized and hosted many African-Caribbean events as well as fundraisers both locally and internationally. In 2013 she was inspired to take on the project of a lifetime, becoming director of her Grandfathers school in Malawi, Africa. The Timalechi Nursery School of Embangweni, Malawi is an NGO which provides early childhood education and day care services to under-resourced children in Central, Malawi. She is currently preparing for her 4th "Malawi Mission" trip to work at The Timalechi Nursery School. Agnes is currently studying economics at El Centro College with plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in International Development. Agnes will be hosting at the Duchess & Duchess Night.
